Rodney Mills – Lead Pastor, Preaching & Vision
Rodney Mills is passionate about helping people discover the life the were meant to live! He’s been serving at Northway since January of 2013, first as worship pastor then adding Executive Pastor to his responsibilities. He became our lead pastor in April of 2017.
Raised in a pastor’s home and serving for nearly 30 years in full time ministry, Rodney has led worship, taught in worship seminars, and worked with mass choirs all over the country. As a nationally known arranger for choir and orchestra, his music has been recorded and published by multiple print companies, choirs, and artists.
But music was only one primary role for Rodney. His gifts for communication and vision were utilized in the roles of associate pastor, church planter, student minister, young adult pastor and much more.
Rodney studied music at Lee University and went on to graduate from Regent University with both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in coaching and mentoring.
Bradley Mills – Family Pastor
Bradley Mills is the Family Pastor at Northway Church of The Woodlands. He joined our staff in February 2013 to help lead us in partnering with parents in developing disciples out of preschoolers, children, and students. Before joining our staff, he served as a college pastor and a church planter in Mobile, Alabama where he developed a passion to lead God’s people to know Him deeply and pursue Him passionately. He received a Bachelor’s degree from The University of South Alabama, and Master of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.
He and his wife Erin have been married since 2011 and the parents of two beautiful kids!
Dr. Kerry L. Skinner – Pastor, Counseling & Teaching
Kerry L. Skinner, has served in pastoral roles for more than thirty-five years with an emphasis in Christian discipleship and pastoral counseling. Through his writing and teaching, Dr. Skinner is recognized as a spokesman for biblical sufficiency. He has traveled extensively through North America teaching conferences for pastors, counselors, and lay leaders on topics such as revival, repentance, holiness, and biblical counseling.
Dr. Skinner’s key mentor was Dr. Henry Brandt–a pioneer of Biblical Counseling. For over five decades, Henry Brandt–international consultant, educator, counselor, author, and conference speaker. The legacy of his ministry is written in the hearts and lives of generations of men, women, and children around the world. Dr. Skinner also served as associate to Dr. Henry Blackaby in the office of Prayer, Revival, and Spiritual Awakening for the North American Mission Board.
He has served churches in Kentucky, Texas, Florida, and Alabama. His most recent assignments were as Teaching Pastor of First Baptist Church of West Palm Beach, and Senior Associate Pastor of Cottage Hill Baptist of Mobile, Alabama.
Dr. Skinner has launched the Think LifeChange Institute for Biblical Counseling. He also guides a biblical counseling center using lay leadership, called the Laity Care Center. He and his wife, Elaine, have one son, Jason and three grandchildren.
