Rodney Mills is passionate about helping people discover the life the were meant to live! He’s been serving at Northway since January of 2013, first as worship pastor then adding Executive Pastor to his responsibilities. He became our lead pastor in April of 2017.
Raised in a pastor’s home and serving for nearly 30 years in full time ministry, Rodney has led worship, taught in worship seminars, and worked with mass choirs all over the country. As a nationally known arranger for choir and orchestra, his music has been recorded and published by multiple print companies, choirs, and artists.
Rodney studied music at Lee University and went on to graduate from Regent University with both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in coaching and mentoring.
Throughout his ministry, music has only been one primary role for Rodney. His gifts for communication and vision have been utilized in the roles of associate pastor, church planter, student minister, young adult pastor and much more.
He has always been fascinated with Jesus’ vision for the local church, the opportunity of seeing lives transformed through apprenticing themselves to Christ, learning to walk in the Jesus Way, not only as individuals, but untied with God’s people as His Kingdom Ambassadors in the world.
As he likes to say about Northway…
“Our vision is to lead our generation to become fully aware of God’s love for them, fully alive through a loving relationship with Christ and His Followers, and fully active as difference makers in the world.”
