Replace the bitterness of your heart and mind with the joy and peace of God through forgiveness and meditation on the goodness of the Lord
Standing in the Kingdom, we make responsible decisions in love about our natural feelings of anger, and a resolution manifesting the divine presence becomes possible.
As I meditate on God’s care and love for me, my mind is being transformed to believe his promises, changing how I think about the source of my worry and fear.
It is first our spirit, not our behavior, that must be transformed, leading to the “life from above” that Jesus promises.
“The gospel is less about getting into the Kingdom of heaven when you die and more about living in the kingdom of heaven before you die.” (Dallas Willard)
No matter the trials or struggles we face, even in moments of doubt, we must never forget the many promises of Christ, continuing to walk in The Risen Way.
Jesus’ Prayer for us as his disciples is that we might experience a unity of His love, vividly seen by the world, leading others to also believe and receive.
When faith, hope, and love is at the center of our motivation, joy and peace become our default disposition.
To abide in Jesus is to be constantly in tune with and listening to and responding to His word and His love as we interact with the world.
The Holy Spirit brings us from death to life, teaches and coaches us to be like Christ, and empowers us to be His witnesses, leading disoriented people into the Kingdom.
Thanks to Jesus, we know where we’re going and how to get there.
The ultimate expression of a person who has apprenticed their life to Jesus is when they fully exhibit the heart of a servant in every relationship.
